Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A-Plus, has revealed that he sleeps with a gun due to threats he receives.
The musician said despite facing online backlash for his outspoken nature, he’s never encountered personal dislike although he has received threatening calls.
To ensure his protection, the Independent Parliamentary Candidate for Gomoa Central, keeps a gun and is always prepared to defend himself.
He recalled the tragic murder of music mogul Fennec Okyere, emphasizing his determination not to meet the same fate.
In an interview with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, he sais “When you fall asleep, you will probably do so with your phone in your hand.
“I fall asleep with my gun in my hand. Even sometimes, I’m sitting on UTV, I have a gun in my pants. I’m just living and I don’t want to die like Fennec,” he said.
“Fennec was in his room sleeping, and then people came and he had to wait for them to come and murder him. Bro, you can’t die like that. He had to wait. He didn’t have anything, no form of protection, so he just had to wait for people to come and murder him,” he said.
“I still have the pictures on my phone. And when I look at Fennec’s pictures, I say to myself, ‘Me, I will not go like that,” he said.
“The kind of things I will do before I die when you put me on my bed, you will see me smiling because I would have shot at least one person before I died”, he noted.
