Rapper Ludacris’ Manager Chaka Zulu Injured in Atlanta Shooting

Chaka Zulu, longtime manager of Ludacris, is recovering from injuries sustained from a shooting that took place last Sunday in Atlanta Georgia.

Atlanta Police  were notified around 11:35 p.m. on Sunday that multiple persons were shot at the location of 2293 Peachtree Rd.

Three people suffered gunshot wounds with one victim pronounced dead after they were transported to a local hospital.

Per the Atlanta Police, the shooting reportedly occurred after an argument broke out in the parking lot behind a shopping center. Police do not yet have a suspect in custody and their investigation into the shooting “remains active and ongoing.

Along with managing Ludacris, Zulu helped the rapper launch his own label, Disturbing tha Peace, which is an imprint of Def Jam. In 2019, Zulu joined Spotify as the Head of Artist and Talent Relations.

Ludacris and Zulu have been acquainted for more than two decades. On Dec. 16, 2012, Ludacris shared an Instagram post in which he posed alongside Zulu, writing, “Me & my manager of 14 years Chaka Zulu #loyalty.”

Under the guidance of Chaka Zulu, Ludacris has released 11 albums that landed on the Billboard 200, including two No. 1s and a total of eight top 10 LPs. Ludacris has also appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 56 times.
