You’re ignorant – NDC’s spokesperson on creative arts tells Sarkodie

Baba Sidq who speaks for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Creative Arts and Tourism has described Ghana’s biggest rapper Sarkodie-born Michael Owusu Addo as ignorant.

Sarkodie in his latest song said “If today I have light and my kids [will] go to school for free then I applaud you… Nana, don’t stop. Keep going… The battle is still the Lord’s”.

But in a tweet, Baba Sadiq described the line by Sarkodie as ignorant because Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo never solved “Dumsor”.

He said “It’s ignorance for anyone to suggest the Nana Addo led administration solved Dumsor. When and how did they solve Dumsor? Such ignorance can’t be allowed to fester. By all means take your endorsement fees, but dont hoodwink your fans into believing your ignorance”.

Meanwhile, Counsel of the President Kow Essuman has defended Sarkodie.

According to him, Sarkodie is not ignorant because Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo solved the issues with unstable power supply.

According to him, it was a money problem that caused dumsor but John Dramani Mahama wasn’t aware of what the problem was and therefore brought in power ships which the country continues to pay for adding that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has settled all the debts hence the stable power supply.
