Barrack Obama’s grandmother, Mama Sarah Obama, dies aged 99
After living for 99 solid years, Mama Sarah Obama, the grandmother of former US President, Barack Obama has finally joined her ancestors.
Marsat Obama, her daughter confirmed the news of her death.
She revealed that her mother died at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital, Kisumu at 4.45am on Monday, March 29.
According to the family, Mama Sarah Obama was admitted at the hospital after she took ill. They were expecting her to get better but in less than 24 hours, she gave up the ghost.
The family has announced they want her buried today (Monday) at the Muslim Cemetery in Kisumu.
“We are trying to see whether we shall be able to bury her today and if not, we shall bury her tomorrow,” a relative said.
