IGP Dampare vow to smoke out murderers of two police officers

IGP George Akuffo Dampare has promised that anyone who could offer information leading to the arrest of criminals who murdered two police officers stands to gain GHS50,000 as a reward.

He announced the bounty on Thursday, 16 December 2021 when he arrived in Zuarungu, Upper East Region, to mourn with the bereaved families.

The policemen, Constable Emmanuel Akowuah and Constable Mohammed Sule, were shot and killed by robbers while on night patrol duties on Wednesday, 15 December.

Constable Sule was shot in the head and
Constable Akowuah suffered burns when the fuel tank of his motorbike was shoot at. This caused an explosion that engulfed the police officer.

IGP Dampare has vowed to smoke out the suspects who has caused pain and heartache to the colleagues, friends and families of the dead officers.
