Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has disclosed his intention to contest for Member of Parliament at Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region.
In an exclusive interview on Okay FM’s ”Blezz Da Mic” with host Abeiku Santana, Stonebwoy stated that residents in Ashaiman have vouched for him to be their Parliamentary representative and that in due time, he will take up the gauntlet.
“If they say that Stone, we believe you can represent us; I wouldn’t refuse.”
When asked on which political party’s ticket will he contest the Parliamentary seat, the ”Putuu” hitmaker declined to make a choice but noted that when he is ready, Ghanaians will know his decision with regard to the political party he will go for.
To him, his interest lies in serving the Ashaiman people saying “Whether you’re in NPP or NDC, with the work you have to do . . . The work is a government work. We’re dealing with people, so you have to do it in a manner that brings them relief,” he said.
