Jerry John Rawlings goes home on December 23

Former President of Ghana, Jerry John Rawlings will be buried on December 23, the family of the late President has said.

This was announced by the family after its consultation with the Government.

“The family of His Excellency Jerry John Rawlings, has in consultation with the Government, agreed that the date for the State funeral of the former President is confirmed for Wednesday, 23rd December, 2020 at the Independence Square in Accra,” a statement from the family said.

The family said it’s working with the government to finalize arrangements for the funeral.

The late former President died on November 12, 2020 after a short illness.

The late former President died on November 12, 2020 after a short illness.

His death came as a shock to many because nothing was heard about his ill health because he had not long ago buried his late mother.
