Oti Region: Police arrest four suspected kidnappers

The four allegedly kidnapped a 19-year-old boy at Mallam Akura in the Oti Region and sent him to their hideout in Tema

The police have arrested four suspects in connection with the kidnapping of 19-year-old boy, Sumaila Bongah, a Fulani at Mallam Akura, a farming community near Bonakye in the Nkwanta South District of the Oti Region.

The suspects are Osman Haman, Alhaji Alidu Dogo, Asmewu Saliu and Mahamadu Ibrahim, a police statement said.

The police said they are on the look out for seven others believed to be part of the kidnapping syndicate.

The police are appealing to the general public to volunteer information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects.
