VIDEO:Two shot at a polling station in Awutu Senya East

Videos available online and reports from the local media suggests that two persons have been shot and injured in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of the Central Region.

The perpetrators of the crime were occupying a Black Toyota Landcruiser who opened fire on a Kia Salon car that was driving out of the polling station.

Reports indicates that the two individuals who were injured as a result of the shoot out are polling agents of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at the Kasoa steps to christ polling station.

The shooting comes months after the Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency Mavis Hawa Koomson was on record to have said that she was engaged in shooting warning shots at a registration centre.

Ghana is at the polls today to elect its leaders who will lead the country and steer the affairs of the country for the next four years.

This year’s election is a unique one because the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) presented the sitting President whiles the opposition NDC presented the former President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama.
