Ghanaians urged not allow politics to divide them
3rd January 2009
Reverend Seth Amankwah, Eastern Regional
Superintendent of the Assemblies of God-Ghana, has
appealed to Ghanaians to unite and not to allow
politics to divide the country.
He said the nation had gone through successful
democratic experiment since 1992 and the people
should not allow the presidential runoff to divide
them.
Rev. Amankwah, who made the call in an interview
with the GNA in Koforidua on Friday, asked leaders
of all political parties and their supporters to
avoid inflammatory statements and to desist from
activities that could jeopardize the peace of the
nation.
Rev. Amankwah urged Christians to pray ceaselessly
for the peace, unity and stability of the country.
