”At least give me a chance”—Gyasi shares frustration on Black Stars snub

Gyasi, 26, has been a consistent member of the set-up of Serie A side, Spezia, and scored the most important goal that secured them a Serie A spot last season.

Gyasi, 26, has been a consistent member of the set-up of Serie A side, Spezia, and scored the most important goal that secured them a Serie A spot last season.

The Italy-born Ghanaian forward says he has been consistent in the Italian top-flight and should have been given a look by the coach of Ghana’s senior national team, C. K Akonnor, as he names his squads for national assignments lately.

The former Torino player, however, added he’d keep working hard and wait for his time since he wants to play for Ghana at the senior level.

“I want to represent Ghana so I will continue to work hard at the club level. I will not allow what happened last month to pull me down,” he told AshesGyamera.com, as quoted by Soccerladuma.com

“I have been consistent at the club level and play in the Serie A every week, so, I was expecting the coach to at least give me a chance, ” he added.

”It didn’t happen but I know my time will come one day.”

Also, the Palermo-born attacker went on to reveal what Cristiano Ronaldo told him in a conversation he had with the Portuguese superstar after a Serie A game over the weekend, which Spezia lost 4-1 to Juventus at home.

“I had a little chat with Cristiano Ronaldo before leaving the field.

“I told Ronaldo that he is an inspiration to me and almost all footballers especially young ones.

“He was happy to hear those words from me and smiled. He then said thank you very much, my brother, and advised me to work hard and keep pushing for my dreams since everything is achievable in life.”

The versatile winger has featured in six Serie A games this season and has recorded one assist.
