Global Icon And Brazilian Legend Pele Has Died

The world of football is in mourning after the death of Brazil legend Pele at the age of 82.
Pele won three World Cups with Brazil between 1958 and 1970, the only player in football history to achieve the feat.
The Brazillian World Cup legend amazing haul of 1,279 goals in 1,363 games, which included friendlies, is recognised as a Guinness World Record.
The all-time great has had several battles with illness over recent years and had surgery to remove a tumour from his colon in September 2021.
The global football superstar was recently admitted to Albert Einstein Israelite Hospital in Sao Paulo due to “general swelling”.
It was later revealed that his cancer had progressed, relating to renal and cardiac dysfunctions.
Pele’s wake is set to take place on Monday at Vila Belmiro stadium in the city of Santos and he will be laid to rest at 10am on Tuesday after a procession.
