Four family members stabbed to death in a house in south-east London have been formally named.

Tanysha Ofori-Akuffo, 45, Denton Burke, 58, his partner, Dolet Hill, 64 and Samantha Drummonds, 27, were killed at their home in Delaford Road, Bermondsey, on Monday.

Police officers forced their way into the home at about 01:40am on Monday, following a call from neighbours about noice and screams from the home.

28-year-old  Joshua Jerome Derriviere Jacques, who happened to be the boyfriend of  Samantha Drummonds,  was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. He is being treated in hospital and is in a stable condition.

Metropolitan Police said that they are moving fast to ensure they uncover all the facts and secure every bit of necessary evidence, and this may understandably take some time to solve.

A statement read, “We are aware that we have family, friends and a community that are all asking questions; we are determined to give them the answers they deserve as soon as possible.”
