British YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly charged with rape in Australia

It is alleged the internet star, presenter and rapper – who is touring Australia – sexually assaulted a woman in her 20s in his Perth hotel room after a show.

British YouTuber and BBC presenter Yung Filly, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, has been charged with multiple offenses related to the alleged sexual assault of a woman in Perth, Australia. The 29-year-old is accused of raping and choking a woman in her 20s after a performance in the Perth suburb of Hillarys on 28 September.
Australian media reports that Barrientos was arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday and extradited to Perth the following day. He faces charges of four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm, and one count of choking the alleged victim.
Appearing in Perth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, Barrientos was granted conditional bail, with restrictions including a ban on contacting the alleged victim and a prohibition on discussing the case on social media. The court adjourned the case to a later date.
Western Australia Police have urged anyone with information or knowledge of similar incidents to come forward, as the investigation remains ongoing.
