Parliament to reconvene at AICC today
Parliament is set to reconvene today, October 15, 2024, for the fifth meeting of its fourth session at the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC). This temporary relocation is due to renovation works in Parliament’s main chamber.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, had issued a formal statement on September 30, 2024, informing Members of Parliament about the upcoming session. The House had previously held an emergency sitting at the same venue, where it approved a $250 million loan agreement with the World Bank. This loan is designated to support Ghana’s Energy Sector Recovery Programme, addressing financial and operational challenges critical to the country’s economic stability.
