Police invite Wontumi FM/TV presenter over publication of false news

The Ghana Police Service has summoned Oheneba Nana Asiedu, a radio and television presenter with Kumasi-based Wontumi TV/FM, to assist in investigations related to the publication of false information.

The inquiry concerns a viral video in which Oheneba Nana Asiedu is seen in the Wontumi FM studios making inaccurate claims about the voting process for the upcoming December 7 presidential election. In the video, he alleged that voters would cast their ballots for presidential candidates on different days.

The police aim to determine the circumstances surrounding the dissemination of this false information and its potential implications.
