‘Already broken seal’ causes confusion at Mampong constituency
Confusion Erupts at Mampong Over Broken Voting Material Seals
Tensions flared at the Mampong Infantry Jnr Primary School polling station in the Ashanti Region after National Democratic Congress (NDC) polling agents raised concerns about broken seals on voting materials.
The seals, meant to remain intact until opened in the presence of representatives from all political parties, were reportedly found already broken, prompting protests from the NDC agents.
The polling station, which is expected to accommodate 617 voters, faced a potential delay as the situation unfolded.
An Election Officer stepped in to address the concerns, restoring calm and allowing the voting process to proceed as scheduled.
