Bole-Bamboi MP Urges Calm Amid Protests Over Ministerial Omission

Yusif Sulemana, Member of Parliament for Bole-Bamboi, has called on residents and youth in the area to remain calm following reports of protests over his exclusion from President John Dramani Mahama’s ministerial nominations.

The protests allegedly involved the burning of car tyres at the residence of President Mahama’s late father, reflecting dissatisfaction among some locals.

In a statement on January 21, Sulemana urged his constituents to exercise restraint and avoid acts that could tarnish the image of the community. He reaffirmed his loyalty to President Mahama and expressed confidence in the former President’s leadership and decisions.

“I kindly appeal to the youth and people of Bole-Bamboi to remain calm and refrain from any form of agitation in my name. I wholeheartedly support H.E. John Dramani Mahama’s wisdom and decisions,” Sulemana said.

He assured residents of his continued commitment to addressing their concerns and representing their interests. Sulemana also called on the community to unite behind Mahama’s “reset agenda” and focus on development, emphasizing the need to avoid actions that could cause embarrassment to the constituency.

“Let us support H.E. John Dramani Mahama in his efforts and refrain from actions that could bring embarrassment to us all,” he added.

The MP’s remarks come as President Mahama continues to finalize his ministerial appointments amid nationwide discussions on representation and inclusivity.
