A joint Rapid response Team from Tarkwa Forest District has arrested 9 illegal miners in the Nueng Forest Reserve in Tarkwa.
This follows an operation on Wednesday February 5, 2025.
The suspects were found with two (2) Changfan machines four (4) pumping machines for their activities in the reserve.
The Rapid Response Team were able to retrieve the machines and burnt them.
The nine (9) suspects are in the custody of the Western Regional Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.
