Mahama Unveils 19-Member Cabinet to Drive National Development

Accra, Ghana – February 19, 2025

President John Dramani Mahama has officially announced his 19-member cabinet, selecting a team of seasoned politicians and expert sector ministers to help him deliver on his four-year mandate.

The appointments, in accordance with Article 76 (1) of the 1992 Constitution, are aimed at tackling urgent national issues and fulfilling key campaign promises.

In a statement, the new government emphasized that the cabinet’s structure was carefully crafted to balance experience and expertise, ensuring inclusive governance.

At a press conference, Minister for Government Communication, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, outlined the cabinet’s immediate priorities, which include:

  • Curbing inflation and stabilizing the economy
  • Reducing unemployment through job creation policies
  • Addressing national security concerns
  • Improving infrastructure and social services

The cabinet is set to begin work immediately, with policy directives and legislative measures expected in the coming weeks to restore economic stability and improve livelihoods.
