Mahama Pledges Jobs and Investment for All 16 Regions in May Day Address

ACCRA, Ghana – May 1, 2025 – President John Dramani Mahama has promised that his government will bring investment, jobs, and infrastructure development to all sixteen regions of Ghana as part of a renewed national development drive.

Addressing the nation during the 2025 May Day celebrations at Black Star Square, President Mahama declared:

“We will work to bring investments, jobs and infrastructure to every region in this country.”

He emphasized the vital role of Ghanaian workers in achieving these goals and called on them to protect their workplaces by being proactive and speaking up when issues arise.

“Protect the enterprises you work at. When things are going wrong, don’t be afraid to point them out,” he urged.
“Let us all, employers and employees, commit to fostering a spirit of collaboration, understanding, and mutual respect.”

Mahama praised the dedication and resilience of Ghana’s workforce, describing them as the “engine of our economy, the builders of our infrastructure, and the innovators who propel us forward.” He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering an environment where workers can “thrive and help Reset Ghana.”

The President’s remarks align with his broader agenda to boost job creation, promote regional equity, and improve public-private sector collaboration as Ghana faces economic recovery challenges.
