The popular “Efiewura” TV series star was arraigned before the Dansoman Circuit Court on Monday, May 12, days after his arrest by the Accra Central Police Command on Friday, May 9.
Koo Fori has been charged with defrauding under false pretences and was granted bail of GH₵320,000 with three sureties.
According to police reports, the actor allegedly took $50,000 from a Ghanaian resident in California, claiming he could facilitate a legitimate investment deal. However, after receiving the money, he reportedly failed to deliver on his promises and subsequently went into hiding.
