
The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested two individuals in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man at the Asankrangwa Education Area on Sunday, August 17, 2025.
According to a police statement, preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was chased and stabbed multiple times by a group, including the suspects, after a misunderstanding with one of them, identified as Kwasi Opong.
Police confirmed the swift arrest of 36-year-old Opong and 23-year-old William Francis Osei, who are currently in custody assisting with investigations. Another suspect is reportedly on the run, with efforts underway to apprehend him.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Asankrangwa Catholic Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.
The Command assured the public that all perpetrators will be brought to justice and urged residents with relevant information to report to the Asankrangwa police.
