NPP Refers Petition Against Asomah-Cheremeh and Kwasi Kwarteng to NEC

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed receipt of a petition calling for the suspension of former Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Kwaku Asomah-Cheremeh, and Kwasi Kwarteng, spokesperson for presidential aspirant Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
In a letter signed by William Yamoah, Director of Finance and Administration, the Party stated that the matter has been formally referred to the National Executive Committee (NEC) for consideration in line with its constitutional processes.
The statement assured petitioners that their concerns have been duly noted and emphasised the NPP’s commitment to safeguarding its values, internal structures, and disciplinary procedures.
The petition’s details remain undisclosed, but its referral to the NEC indicates that the Party will handle the matter through its highest decision-making structures.
