Delta has officially launched a seasonal daily nonstop flight service between Kotoka (ACC) and Hartsfield‑Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), starting 1 December 2025.
Delta Airlines which once operated a nonstop ACC–ATL flight, has resumed the service after a long hiatus.
As of early December 2025 there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in Accra marking the new route.
Travel demand has surged between the U.S. and Ghana, especially around the holiday season (December–January). The seasonal route responds directly to that increased demand and the duration of a flight is roughly 12 hours nonstop.
This adds another convenient U.S.–Ghana link in addition to Delta’s existing year-round service between New York-JFK and Accra — giving travellers more flexibility.
It also signals Delta’s renewed long-term interest in connecting Ghana with the U.S., which could drive greater tourism, business travel, and community/family visits.
