Former New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate, Valentino Nii Noi Nortey, has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident in the United States.
According to reports, Nortey faces multiple charges for attempted murder, possessing an instrument of crime with intent to use and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.
Police reports indicate that the stabbing happened during a domestic dispute on Mayfair Drive where he lives with his family.
First responders transported the injured woman to alocal hospital, where she is reported to be in a stable condition**. Officials confirmed there was **no ongoing threat to the public.
Nortey was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David Judy, who denied him bail due to the seriousness of the charges.
The 41 year old is being held at Dauphin County Prison ahead of a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 26, 2026, where a judge will determine if the case proceeds to trial.
