Darren Watkins Jr, popularly known as IShowSpeed, has arrived in Accra, on January 25, 2026, as part of his ongoing “Speed Does Africa”livestream tour.
Social media posts and videos show fans and local groups such as bike enthusiasts welcoming him at Kotoka International Airport.
He’s expected to take part in events like a supercar spectacle at Independence Square and visit local creative spots such as Goldbod**, drawing crowds and attention online.
Local tourism officials encouraged Ghanaian youth to showcase Ghanaian culture during his visit, hoping his global reach highlights the country’s culture and hospitality.
Ghanaian dancehall star Shatta Wale commented on the visit, acknowledging the positive attention IShowSpeed brings to Africa but noting there hasn’t been a formal collaboration between them.
IShowSpeed’s visit to Ghana is part of a 28-day livestream tour across about 20 African countries where he shares live content, interacts with fans, and highlights destinations on YouTube and other platforms.
