Accra, March 25, 2025 – The management of A&C Mall has assured vehicle owners affected by the collapse of a parking lot shed during a severe rainstorm that their repair costs will be fully covered by the mall’s insurers.
The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, March 25, was caused by strong winds and heavy rainfall, leading to structural damage to the solar panel carport. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Management’s Assurance
In an official statement, A&C Mall reaffirmed its commitment to customer safety and support for affected clients.
“We acknowledge that some clients’ vehicles were affected by the incident. We want to assure all affected vehicle owners that the necessary repairs will be fully covered by our insurers, who are already working to assess and address the damages promptly,” the statement read.
Management also disclosed that measures are being taken to reinforce the structural integrity of the carport to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Authorities and Assistance
The mall expressed gratitude to the Ghana Police Service, National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), and Ghana National Fire Service for their swift response during the emergency.
