Shatta Wale Granted GH₵10 Million Bail by EOCO Over Lamborghini Tax Probe

The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has granted bail to Ghanaian dancehall star Charles Nii Armah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, under stringent conditions tied to an ongoing tax investigation.

According to his media manager, Samuel Atuobi Baah (popularly called Sammy Flex), the artist’s legal team and management are working to meet the bail requirements, with his release expected by Thursday, August 21, 2025.

“EOCO has set a bail of ten million Ghana cedis (GH₵10 million) with two sureties. I assure you, the dancehall king’s management and legal team are working tirelessly to resolve this,” Flex said in a video update.

He further clarified that the case is directly linked to tax issues concerning Shatta Wale’s yellow Lamborghini and his business operations, dismissing reports suggesting otherwise.

The artist was taken into custody on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, as part of EOCO’s probe into tax compliance. His management stated that Shatta Wale voluntarily appeared before EOCO, accompanied by his lawyer, Cephas Biyuo, to assist with investigations.
