Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, has announced a new movie titled “Me Kum Me ho Ma’ Nipa”, which is a tribute to the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, who passed away recently.
Kwadwo Nkansah urged fans not to let rivalry or differences overshadow the love and respect they have for the legendary musician, ensuring his music continues to live on in their hearts. He wants fans and wellwishers to watch the movie as a farewell from him to Daddy Lumba
However, the announcement has sparked controversy among fans and critics on social media, given the past feud between Lil Win and Daddy Lumba’s family.
The actor and filmmaker has since clarified that his frustration wasn’t about the movie’s success, but about missing the opportunity to pay his respects to Daddy Lumba.
He said “I wanted to be at Lumba’s vigil and not left out, I didn’t mention it because of my movie, but because I’m a huge fan of Daddy Lumba and I deeply admire him.”
