Actress and fashion entrepreneur Nana Akua Addo has spoken publicly for the first time about a series of videos and photographs circulating online in connection with an alleged domestic dispute involving her and her children.
In a statement issued through her lawyers on October 6, 2026, Nana Akua Addo stressed that she neither authorised nor consented to the release of the material.
She rejected suggestions that she deliberately made the footage public, insisting that the videos and photographs were leaked without her knowledge or approval.
The actress said the situation had raised serious concerns about the privacy and welfare of her family, particularly because some of the material reportedly features one of her minor children.
Against this backdrop, she appealed to media organisations and other platforms to exercise restraint by refraining from publishing, reproducing or further circulating the videos and photographs.
She said the family was already dealing with the emotional trauma associated with the incident and that the continued spread of the material could compound the situation.
Nana Akua Addo further disclosed that the matter has been reported to the appropriate authorities and is currently sub judice.
She therefore urged the public to allow the relevant investigative and judicial processes to run their course rather than drawing conclusions from footage circulating on social media.
The actress also expressed appreciation to the Ghana Police Service for what she described as its timely intervention following the incident.
She said she remained confident in the ability of the courts and other relevant institutions to handle matters relating to domestic violence appropriately.
Nana Akua Addo indicated that she would provide further details and address the issues surrounding the leaked footage and the alleged domestic dispute when the time is considered appropriate.
For now, she has called for restraint and respect for the privacy of her family, particularly the minor involved.
