Accra Mall is to stage “Spooky Fun Halloween” this October, giving children and their families the chance to take part in costume dressing, trick-or-treating and other activities linked to the occasion.
Halloween is not traditionally included in Ghana’s cultural calendar, but events based on the celebration are becoming part of the entertainment choices available to families.
The Accra Mall programme will invite children to attend dressed as their favourite characters. Activities will be designed to promote imagination, play and participation in a family-friendly setting.
Mall management said the event was part of a wider effort to provide experiences that encourage people to spend time together.
“With Spooky Fun Halloween, the goal is to give families an opportunity to experience something playful and different in a setting that is familiar and accessible to them,” said Anthony Asamoah, Marketing Manager at Accra Mall.
The event will give parents an additional option for an outing with their children during October, combining a visit to the shopping centre with themed activities for the whole family.
