Denise Lady Ama Saah Fosu, the eldest daughter of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba (Charles Kwadwo Fosu), has indeed invited the general public to her father’s funeral.
As the first-born, she appears to hold a position of some public prominence within the family, especially now following her father’s death.
In late November 2025 she returned to Ghana after her father’s death and made an invitation video urging fans, sympathisers and the public to join the family in mourning — asking them to attend her father’s funeral on 13 December 2025 in Kumasi.
In that video and public appeal she represented the family’s voice, speaking on behalf of her siblings and relatives to extend the invitation.
The public announcement came amid some controversy over her father’s burial arrangements: there has been a legal dispute over who qualifies as his legal surviving spouse (between one of his wives. and a traditional partner). The court recently ruled recognizing both, which adds significance to Denise’s role as she helps coordinate and represent the family during this sensitive time.
Because she’s the first daughter and is publicly making the funeral invitation, she’s become a central figure in how the family handles the public mourning and legacy of Daddy Lumba.
