A man in the Eastern Region have been arrested for allegedly attempting to sell his three-year-old son for GH¢1 million (about US $100 000+).
The suspect, identified as Coffie Agyemang, a resident of Kwamang in the Eastern Region, was apprehended by the Akwatia Police Command, who took him into custody following reports of the attempted transaction.
The local Law enforcement are investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged attempt, including the motivations and whether any accomplices were involved.
The child has reportedly been placed into protective custody as authorities continue their inquiries.
