The Police have arrested a man in Bawku in the Upper East Region for making comments that authorities say could jeopardise public peace in Bawku and nearby communities.
The suspect, locally identified as Raphael Azare Kariyama, was apprehended through an intelligence-led operation aimed at monitoring and stopping content that could incite violence or undermine public order.
The arrest is said to be part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace in areas experiencing heightened tension. Mr Kariyama is in police custody and will be brought before a court to face legal charges.
The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has indicated that investigations continue and that steps are being taken to apprehend others who might be linked to the case.
