Felix Kwakye Ofosu: Last-minute appointments will be reviewed under Mahama

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, spokesperson for the Mahama Transition Team, has announced plans to reverse all public sector appointments made after December 7, 2024. The move comes in response to concerns about last-minute recruitments and a suspicious GH₵240 million payment to a business partner of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Kwakye Ofosu raised alarms over the potential financial strain caused by these actions, particularly as Ghana faces significant economic challenges. Speaking on Eyewitness News with Selorm Adonoo, he emphasized that the team would closely review these appointments and transactions to ensure compliance with established protocols.
He stressed the importance of adhering to recruitment regulations, warning that any appointments that violated laid-down processes would be reversed. “It is not in the interest of both those who are being recruited and those who are doing the recruitment to carry on any further. They will only be leading the unfortunate recruits on the path to nowhere,” Kwakye Ofosu stated.
This scrutiny is part of a broader effort by the transition team to ensure accountability and fiscal prudence as they prepare for John Mahama’s assumption of office.
