
Accra, Ghana – March 21, 2025 – Parliament has approved the nomination of Michael Harry Yamson as the Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) following a unanimous recommendation by the Appointments Committee.
The committee’s endorsement was based on Yamson’s demonstrated competence, extensive knowledge, and exceptional skills in financial management and governance.
Vetting and Parliamentary Approval
Yamson appeared before the Appointments Committee on March 20, 2025, where he addressed various concerns regarding the efficient management of the DACF.
During his vetting, he assured Ghanaians of his ability to effectively manage the fund, citing his extensive experience in handling significantly larger budgets in both the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and telecommunications sectors.

Yamson emphasized that his professional background has equipped him with the necessary expertise to ensure efficient fund allocation and transparency in the disbursement of resources to local governments across Ghana.
His approval is expected to bring renewed efficiency and accountability to the management of the DACF, a critical fund that supports decentralized development projects at the district level.
