Jude Bellingham’s Late Strike Seals Real Madrid’s 3-2 Victory Over Manchester City

Jude Bellingham struck a dramatic 92nd-minute winner as Real Madrid edged Manchester City 3-2 in a thrilling Champions League knockout phase first-leg clash on Tuesday night.

The match saw Kylian Mbappe and Brahim Diaz find the net for Madrid, while Erling Haaland’s brace kept City in the contest.

City took the lead in the 19th minute when Josko Gvardiol chested the ball down to Haaland, who volleyed into the far corner. After a tense four-minute VAR check for offside, the goal was confirmed.

Madrid responded in the 60th minute when Mbappe converted a rebound off a free kick, awkwardly bouncing the ball off his shin while falling, before it looped over Ederson and into the net.

City regained the lead in the 80th minute through Haaland’s penalty, awarded after Dani Ceballos fouled Phil Foden in the box. The Norwegian striker coolly sent Thibaut Courtois the wrong way.

Madrid equalized just minutes later as Brahim Diaz capitalized on a poor clearance from Ederson, tapping the ball home after a Vinicius Junior shot.

With the match heading for a draw, Bellingham secured the win in stoppage time, getting in front of John Stones to tap home a looped cross from Vinicius Junior.

The thrilling encounter sets up a high-stakes second leg, with Madrid taking a crucial one-goal advantage into the return fixture.
