NDC Greater Accra Chairman Denounces Unauthorised Letter on Appointments
The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Nii Ashie Moore, has distanced himself and the party’s leadership from a circulating letter allegedly issued by Regional Secretary Theophilus Tetteh Chaie.
The letter, which reportedly called on party leaders to nominate individuals for government appointments, has been deemed unauthorised and unapproved by both the regional executive committee and the party’s apex leadership.
In a statement issued on December 25, 2024, Ashie Moore clarified that the letter was not sanctioned by the party’s leadership and described it as a unilateral action by the Regional Secretary.
“This is indeed a sole decision of the Regional Secretary without any recourse to laid-down party structures. Kindly disregard the letter completely with the seriousness it deserves,” Ashie Moore said.
He urged party members and the public to dismiss the letter and reaffirmed the NDC’s focus on governance and policy implementation. According to Ashie Moore, the President-Elect’s transition team is prioritizing a smooth handover of power and preparing to implement the administration’s top policies within its first 120 days in office.
The statement underscores the NDC’s commitment to adherence to internal protocols and effective leadership as it prepares to assume office.
