President Mahama Urges Ghanaians to Embrace Unity and Sacrifice on Eid ul Adha

President John Dramani Mahama has called on Ghanaians to use the sacred occasion of Eid ul Adha to deepen national unity and reaffirm their collective commitment to building a stronger, more prosperous Ghana.

In a heartfelt message shared through official presidential communication channels, the President underscored the values of brotherhood, cooperation, and sacrifice that define Eid ul Adha, encouraging citizens to embody these virtues in their daily lives and national development efforts.

“Let’s use this celebration to strengthen our bonds of brotherhood and the commitment to work together to build the Ghana we want,” Mahama stated.

The message comes at a time when the country continues to navigate economic and social challenges, with the President urging all Ghanaians to embrace a sense of shared responsibility in addressing these issues.

Eid ul Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, marks the profound act of faith and obedience demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham), who was willing to sacrifice his son in submission to God’s command. President Mahama echoed this theme, encouraging both personal and collective sacrifice in pursuit of national progress and unity.

His message was widely welcomed by the Muslim community and citizens alike, reinforcing the role of religious celebrations in fostering national cohesion and a shared vision for the future.
