Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi Confirmed as CEO of Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly

π Kumasi, Ghana β April 10, 2025 β Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi has been officially confirmed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) following a decisive vote by Assembly Members.
πΉ Boadi, who previously served as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Obuasi under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, was nominated by President John Dramani Mahama for the role.
πΉ His confirmation was overwhelmingly secured after he won 55 out of the 56 votes cast by Assembly Members.

ποΈ Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has urged the new KMA CEO to focus on:

Decongesting Kumasi to ease traffic and pedestrian movement.

Improving sanitation to enhance the city’s cleanliness.

Addressing issues at the Kejetia Market, a critical commercial hub.
π¬ βThese issues continue to slow development in the Kumasi Metropolis. The Regional Coordinating Council will collaborate with the KMA to address these concerns and improve the lives of residents,β Dr. Amoakohene assured.
