Manchester City reignited their season with a commanding 3-0 victory over rivals Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium, with Erling Haaland delivering a dominant performance capped by two second-half goals.

City’s resilience was underpinned by strong performances from Rodri, Dias, Donnarumma, and Foden, but it was Haaland’s all-round display – relentless movement, physical dominance, and leadership – that defined the derby.
For United, the defeat was a stark reminder of the gulf between the sides. Despite showing flashes of promise, they looked like a side short of confidence and identity, condemned to mid-table struggles while their neighbours reassert their title ambitions.
