The Kwesimintsim District Police Command in the Western Region has arrested a man, Anthony Acquah, for allegedly murdering his 17-year-old brother, Francis Mensah, at Mampong-Pepease, a suburb of Sekondi.
According to a police report, the tragic incident occurred on August 16, 2025, around 6:00 p.m., when Acquah allegedly stabbed his younger brother to death following a misunderstanding.
He reportedly fled the scene immediately after the incident and went into hiding.
In a statement issued on August 21, police revealed that intelligence efforts led to Acquah’s arrest on August 20, 2025, at his hideout in Kojokrom, near Sekondi.
The suspect is currently in custody and assisting with investigations.
