By Hotdigitalonline Staff – London | October 2025

As part of Black History Month 2025, HotDigitalOnline, in partnership with the Ghana Nurses Association UK (GNA-UK) and the Ghana Doctors and Dentists Association UK (GDDA-UK), organised the third edition of its annual Health Awareness Day on Saturday, 25 October 2025, in London.

The event drew broad participation from health organisations, community members and diaspora groups, reaffirming the collective commitment to promoting preventive healthcare and wellness within the Ghanaian and wider African community in the UK.

High-Level Support from the Ghana High Commission

The event was graced by Her Excellency Mrs Saban Zita Benson, Ghana’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, who served as Special Guest of Honour.

In her remarks, the High Commissioner commended HotDigitalOnline and its partners for organising the programme, praising their “commitment to saving lives through knowledge and community action.”

She emphasised the need for all Ghanaians to prioritise their health and take advantage of such opportunities for free screening.

“Health is wealth. I am pleased that our community members are taking time to check their blood pressure, cholesterol and general health. These screenings can save lives,” she said.

Mrs Benson also encouraged HotDigitalOnline to extend this initiative to Ghana by partnering with GNA-UK to organise similar outreach in selected villages, assuring participants that the Ghana High Commission would support the effort.

  • Sickle Cell Disease

Participants had access to various health checks, including blood-pressure checks, cholesterol testing, and one-on-one consultations with medical professionals.
