Anthony Joshua knocked down Jake Paul multiple times before defeating him in the 6th round with a powerful right hand at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida. The referee stepped in at about the 1:31 mark of the sixth round as Paul could not continue.
The defeat was Jake Paul’s second professional loss and his first Knock Out defeat a heavyweight boxing match. He was taken to hospital and there was confirmation he suffered a double broken jaw.
He has since undergone surgery and is expected to be out of competition for a period as he recovers from his injuries. Joshua acknowledged Paul’s toughness and said he gave him credit for his heart in the ring.
The win marked Joshua’s return to form after a previous knockout loss and this encounter with Paul improved his overall record.
