U.S. Ambassador Reaffirms Strong Ties Amid Ghana-U.S. Tariff Dispute

Accra, Ghana – April 7, 2025U.S. Ambassador to Ghana, Virginia Palmer, has reassured that U.S.-Ghana relations remain strong, despite ongoing discussions over a newly imposed 10% tariff on Ghanaian exports.

🔴 “The U.S.-Ghana relationship is very strong, and we are committed to keeping it that way,” Ambassador Palmer stated after a closed-door meeting with Ghana’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
