Controversial televangelist Nana Agradaa is facing a fresh legal battle after a businesswoman and NGO operator filed a defamation suit against her at the Accra High Court.
The plaintiff alleges that Agradaa made defamatory statements accusing her of demanding a bribe and claims the case, filed in 2024, has been delayed by the preacher’s repeated failure to appear in court despite being served with legal documents.
According to the woman, the court has directed Agradaa to appear or risk judgment being entered against her.
The lawsuit is reportedly linked to the widely publicized Sarah Gold case, in which a woman accused Agradaa of taking possession of family gold brought to her church for spiritual blessings and failing to return it.
Sarah Gold also alleged that she and her child were mistreated when she attempted to retrieve the valuables, claims that have kept the matter in the public spotlight.
