Kwabena Kwabena Lights Up London with “Aso @ 20” A Night of Highlife, Heart & Heritage
London, UK – October, 2025
The Aso @ 20 celebrations hit London — and it was magic. Ghana’s highlife icon Kwabena Kwabena brought the Dominion Centre in North London to life on Saturday, October 11, delivering a soulful, sold-out show that reminded the diaspora why Ghana’s music still moves hearts across borders.
Backed by a full live band, Kwabena Kwabena took fans on a 20-year journey through hits like “Aso,” “Adult Music,” “Bue Kwan,” “Obaa,” and “Fakye Me.” Each song drew waves of nostalgia from a crowd that sang every lyric back — Ghanaians, Africans, and UK fans alike.
The concert, produced by Akwaaba Group, also featured guest performances from Ofori Amponsah and Kofi Nti, turning the night into a full-on highlife reunion. Between sets, Kwabena reflected on his career, thanking fans for “20 years of love and loyalty from Ghana to the world.”
“This is more than music — it’s our story, our rhythm, our soul,” he said to thunderous applause.
The energy in the Dominion Centre was pure Ghana — flags waving, fans in kente, and a diaspora crowd dancing deep into the night. For London’s Ghanaian community, it wasn’t just a concert — it was a cultural homecoming.

Two decades after Aso changed the sound of Ghanaian highlife, Kwabena Kwabena still commands the stage with timeless grace.
His London show proved one thing: you can take the man out of Ghana, but you can’t take Ghana out of the music.
