Ghanaian singer Gyakie will return to live performance on 12 December 2026, when she stages a comeback concert at Ghud Park, Accra Mall.
The show will mark her return to the stage after several months spent recording her upcoming album, Midnight. Gyakie said the concert would give her an opportunity to reconnect with her fans and show her appreciation for their continued support during her absence from live performances.
The event is also expected to offer an early preview of the music she has been developing for the album, as Gyakie prepares to present fans with an evolving sound ahead of the release of Midnight.
Gyakie has reportedly spoken about the way she approaches songwriting, explaining that she usually begins with an instrumental beat. From there, she develops the narrative and builds the rest of the song around it.
The time required to complete a track can vary considerably, she said. Some songs take several days to finish, while others come together much more quickly when inspiration arrives. Gyakie recalled completing one song in only 30 minutes.
She also addressed the role of music in viral dance challenges, saying songs should give people a reason to dance, enjoy themselves and connect with one another.
Discussing the inspiration for her single ‘Body’, Gyakie connected the song to her appreciation of the human form and what she described as God’s creativity.
Her December performance is set to combine the opportunity to thank her audience with a first indication of the direction of her next project. It will be her first live show following the recording period for Midnight.
