Daniel Boakye has been arrested in France after more than two weeks on the run from custody in the United Kingdom.
The 21-year-old London prisoner has been serving a 6-year-plus sentence for knife-point robberies in London.
He escaped twice within one week in February 2026, once while under police guard at West Middlesex University Hospital where he was having a medical treatment, again from Lewisham Hospital after being recaptured.
Police believe he fled the UK hidden in a lorry shortly after the second escape.
The UK drill rapper known as “Dsavv was arrested on 2 March in La Bouëxière, Brittany (north-west France) after a joint operation involving the Metropolitan Police, the UK National Crime Agency, and French police.
He is currently detained in France and expected to be extradited back to the UK. Authorities are now arranging his return to continue his sentence.
While on the run, he posted videos and rap clips online mocking police, including lines like “catch me if you can.”
He had been due to be deported to Ghana after finishing his sentence.
